Dancing at Everest Hotel

My first experience of Brazilian "ballroom" dancing was when Ludmila and I went to a dance party at the Everst Hotel in Leblon. It turned out that partner ballroom dancing in Brazil is quite different than what I am used to in America. People only danced the traditional Brazilian dances like Samba, Bolero, Zouk, Forro. There were couple of songs to which one could do a Cha Cha, but most people did some other type of dancing that I could not really figure out.

There was a performance by some guy who played the tambourine and did some juggling tricks with it. He later let go of his tambourine and did a little dance performance with a partner.

At some point a photographer with a big camera took couple of pictures of Ludmila as we stroke some dance poses. Both of them combined are displayed here. One of them made it to a Brazilian dance newspaper.
