Today I hosted the first karaoke party of 2005. Appropriately for the time of the year, I called it after the song "Winter Melody" recorded by Donna Summer in 1976 in an album "Four Seasons of Love". I had this album on the second compact cassette (remember those?) that I owned back in the early 80's. This was one of the best karaoke parties I've had. The crowd was great. Everyone had fun singing and dancing.

My karaoke songs collection has expanded to over 7,500 songs. My newly printed song catalog is 37 pages double sided with 3 columns per page. To make it easier for people to make a decision which song to pick, I created a song reservation system in on-line catalog. Using it people can reserve songs by browsing and searching my catalog electronically and reserving the songs in advance of the party.
