With Fotki Journals it's very easy to do. Here is the code that makes this happen:
<a style="cursor:pointer" onclick="Core.showHideElement('collapsedText123');">Read More...</a>
<div id="collapsedText123" style="display:none;"> This is the long text that can be expanded and collapsed by clicking on the link above.</div>
Note that collapsedText123 can be any alpha-numeric string, as long as it is unique in your entire journal. The same string must be used in both places. Tuesday, January 2, 2007
The following are the steps to create a location in Fotki Location Manager. The example location is Fukuoka, Japan.
Now you can tag your albums with the new location by editing Album Properties and specifying the location in Photo-session location field.
Note that allthough you can also geo-tag each photo, only the geo-tagged albums will show up on the fotki-map. Thursday, September 7, 2006Wednesday, September 6, 2006

Related Discussion Can someone see the difference? Thursday, August 31, 2006Latest Photo: See how the title is duplicated in the link to the album and in the text next to the photo? In any RSS reader, the photo title will appear as part of the link to the original content. It should not be repeated in the description element of the XML feed. Instead of using the photo title there, you should use the description. If it's blank, so be it. Monday, February 6, 2006I created a Yahoo group for the users of Fotki.com

Wednesday, November 10, 2004Recently my hard disk crashed and I lost all my photos. Fortunately they had been uploaded to fotki.com. So all I had to do is use FTP to download them back to my computer with the folder structure created on fotki.com. FTP stands for File Transfer Protocol. It is a way to tranfer files between two different computers connected via Internet. fotki.com supports uploading and downloading photos via FTP. To transfer the photos you can use any FTP client. I use an Open Source program called FileZilla. To connect to fotki.com use the following host name: ftp.fotki.com. Your user name and password are the same as in your fotki.com account. Once you login via FTP client, you will see folders which mimic your folder structure in your fotki.com account. With FTP clients like FileZilla you can highlight multiple folders and download them all at once including the nested folders. This is what I used to restore all my photos when my hard disk crashed. Fotki.com has a great feature called co-branding. It allows you apply your own design to the web pages displaying the photos. Here are the co-branded fotki pages that I found on the web: Sunday, September 26, 2004
[photo id=X type=vi align=right] To specify the URL of the page which will be loaded when the user clicks on the photo add link and href attributes: [photo id=X link=custom href=http://fotki.com] - in this example the user will be taken to fotki.com when they click on the photo. Note that this will only work with photos in your own fotki account. They can be in either public or private section. Of course you can just add any the image using plain IMG HTML tag and the URL of the image, but then you will not get the fotki borders. Is there any way to see at a glance if you got new comments or do you have to go through each journal to see if you do??? I suggested to our Fotki staff last week that it would be a good new feature if like "guestbook entries" if both photo comments and journals showed a "new messages" next to the text. They said that they would consider it in a future upgrade. Have you found any tricks to get around this??? |
