As I was approaching Times Square walking home from work today (due to the transit strike), I stepped upon the poster on the sidewalk. This was on Broadway right next to 42nd street on the North side. A few steps over I saw several posters on the windows of the ground floor of the Times Square Tower building in the center of Times Square. Inside I saw a set with a large dancefloor and stars. My suspicion is that this is going to be the venue for the promotion of the next season of Dancing With The Stars. ABC hired a marketing company Buzztone to generate the interest in the show and are currently holding auditions for people interested in participating in the promotion.

The next morning on my way to work, I actually saw a couple dancing. There was a photographer there taking photos of them. When the photographer came outside, I asked her if they were going to show this on TV and she said no. When I asked her for how long this promo is going to take place, she said that for several days there will be people dancing on this stage in front of the passers by

On my way back home at around 8:20 PM there were more people at the window watching another couple dance Salsa. This time there were speakers outside so one could hear the music. At the end of their number the couple bowed to the audience behind the glass.

They also had TV screens setup in the window playing the promo video clips. I recorded one by pointing my camera at the TV. You can glimpse at the celebrities parttaking in the upcoming season.
