Today was my first time attending the Chocolate Show. It was held at the Metropolitan Pavilion & Altman Building
located at 125 West 18th Street between 6th & 7th Avenues. Since I did not purchase the tickets on line using Ticketmaster, I had to wait in a long line outside. Good thing I had my cell phone to keep me occupied with reading about Burning Man event on mobile.answers.com.
The admission price was $25. The exhibition was filled with booths of various chocolate vendors. They offered many samples to try for free and you could also buy plethora of all kinds of chocolate. There were also two "theaters" where people could observe chefs making various chocolate desserts. One of the chefs was a tall drag queen.
On the opening night of the exhibit they had a fashion show of various clothing resembling chocolate. For those of us who missed it, they had some the outfits put on the manikins.
If you're a chocolate aficionado, this is definitely a show to attend! As for me, attending it once is enough.
